Servicing Your Car Regularly
It is important to service your car regularly, once a year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes sooner as this this proactively maintains your car, reducing risk of breakdown. It can also maintain your car's value.
Regular servicing will identify potential problems early on before these problems escalate becoming more costly.
Under extreme cold temperatures the anti-freeze stops the water in the cooling system from freezing. If the anti-freeze concentration is insufficient, the water could freeze, therefore expanding causing metal components to crack causing serious expensive damage.

ANTI-FREEZE/ COOLANT CHANGE
It is important to check the concentration of the coolant as the coolant prevents deteriation in the cooling system i.e. radiators, heating matrix, pipework etc.

CALL US TO FIND WHEN YOUR TIMING BELT SHOULD BE REPLACED
TIMING BELTS AND PULLEY REPLACEMENT
This cam/timing belt connects the camshaft and drive shaft, synchronising the movement of the pistons and the valves in the engine.
If the timing belt snaps, it will cause the pistons and valves to collide and in turn could cause serious engine damage - a very costly expense.
Timing belts have a certain life expectancy recommended by the manufacturer. This varies depending on the vehicle make, model, and driving conditions.
Modern vehicles use this belt to drive accessory pulleys, for example, the water pump. The more technically designed the vehicle, usually the greater combination of pulleys. These pulleys also get strained under tension so it is recommended that you replace the Timing Belt Kit (which includes idler bearings and tensioner) and not just the belt.

TYRE PRESSURES
There are 3 main reasons why you should regularly check your tyre pressures (at least every couple of weeks).
Safety
If tyres are under inflated they can overheat. Over inflated tyres cause poor vehicle handling on the road.
Economy
Under and over inflated tyres wear quicker and can get damaged more than tyres with correct pressure. Vehicles with under inflated tyres use more fuel.
Environment
Beacause vehicles with the correct tyre pressures use less fuel, there are less Co2 emissions coming from your car - better for the environment.
